Why Do I Need a Face Mask?
I’ve often asked this question many times myself! Why do I need a face mask? When I picture a face mask, I picture an older lady with a slop of green on her face laying on her plastic covered couch with seafoam green curtains hanging behind her with cucumbers on her eyes. Ha! Well the truth is, from the moment you start wearing makeup, and, even if you don’t you need to start considering a face mask. If you want your daytime products and night time serums to actually work you need a mask. If you use a mask on a regular basis you can ensure that the results you are looking for will come at a much faster rate because you use a mask.
But there are so many on the market:
Yes, that’s true. Hydrating, overnight, deep clean, oil free, unclog, relax. The list goes on. So how do you know which kind of mask to get? First you want to consider your routine. Is your makeup removed diligently every night? Do you even wear makeup? Oily skin a problem? Do you get breakouts easily? Think about what type of regimen you have each day and night and then consider your skin type. My skin type is a combo and literally changes from morning to night. I start out oily, am very dry after a shower and throughout the day and usually am back to being oily by the end of the night. So, a good reason for me to use a mask is to help balance out my problem of my combo skin. Wearing a mask to help bring in some natural oils after I shower, and at night maybe a mask to help unclog my pores and deep clean so oil isnt clogging them all night.
I have been slowly trying out each of Perfectly Posh’s masks for various reasons and at various times day or night and am finding my combo of what works best for me. If you have oily skin you might want to consider Pore Chores. Pore Chores reduces the appearance of larger pores and deep cleans for a clearer looking complexion with illite clay and super absorbent kaolin clay.
Avocado and olive oils can moisturize the driest of skin while milk helps soothe and rejuvenate for a refreshed complexion. That’s why All I’ve Avo Wanted is perfect for hydrating and locking in moisture. Aloe Vera and Beeswax help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles as well!
Maybe your skin is just really sensitive and using makeup and cleansers leaves you with a red face by the end of the day. The though of using a clay mask is probably making your head spin! In steps Totes Oats. A gentle mask with oatmeal and sweet almond oil will help soothe and nourish skin. This calming mask will most definitely be suitable for even the most soothing types of skin.
My favorite- Go West! The red clay, volcanic ash, and peach powder help clean pores deep down and because it’s an exfoliating mask, it removes dry skin. Licorice root, jojoba oils reduce appearance of shine and orange and lime oils brighten skin for a more even toned complexion!
